About Stay Awhile

Stay Awhile is an online editorial photography publication featuring intimate portraits of everyday women in their own spaces.

Each feature pairs striking imagery with written profiles that focus on presence, confidence, and context. The goal isn’t spectacle. It’s proximity. Real people, photographed where they live, in moments that feel unguarded but intentional.

No two features are approached the same way. Every shoot is shaped around the individual: her personality, her comfort level, her environment, her sense of style. Some sessions are quiet and minimal. Others feel bold, playful, or charged. The direction follows the subject, not the other way around.

The aim is simple: to create images that feel honest, composed, and unmistakably personal.

The Work

All photography and editorial direction are handled by Adam Thede, an independent photographer focused on natural light portraiture and understated sensuality. His broader artistic and commissioned work can be found at adamthede.photos.

What This Is (and What It Isn’t)

This is not an open casting call or a high-volume content feed.

Features are selected with an editorial lens. Submissions and referrals are reviewed based on fit, tone, and overall cohesion. The goal is consistent, high quality work that feels intentional rather than transactional.

Public features present the editorial side of each shoot. Extended sets remain available to subscribers.

Stay Awhile is built on the idea that being photographed can be more than documentation. When done with care and attention, it becomes a moment: considered, deliberate, and worth keeping.
