What is Stay Awhile?
A personalized editorial experience unlike a typical photoshoot. The main feature of each issue of Stay Awhile is built around one subject. I work with her to create an intimate, photo-based feature inspired by who she is, not a predetermined concept. Her photos are paired with original writing and published online before becoming a part of the printed magazine.

Why Participate?
Most people only get to express certain parts of themselves. At work, in school, or even in everyday life, we naturally stay inside the roles we play. Stay Awhile creates space to explore different sides of a person, one that might be softer, bolder, more sensual, more vulnerable, or simply more honest.
Each feature begins with a conversation with the person behind the photographs about her experiences, interests, personality, and style. The goal is to create an editorial portrait that reflects who she is. During the shoot, she gets to express and own her whole self, bringing together the parts of her identity that rarely get to share the same frame. The experience is collaborative, relaxed, and deeply personal, resulting in photos that are professional yet real.
When it’s finished, her feature becomes part of a growing body of work celebrating people through intimate editorial photography and original storytelling.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re interested in applying to be featured in Stay Awhile, please take a look at the details below and feel free to review some of our features so far.
Do I need modeling experience?
Not at all. Many people featured in Stay Awhile have never modeled before. I’m much more interested in curiosity, communication, and a willingness to collaborate than experience in front of the camera. If you’re excited by the idea of creating something meaningful together, that’s what matters most.
Does it cost anything?
If selected to be featured, there’s no cost involved. You’re only responsible for your wardrobe, hair and makeup (if desired), and providing a location that fits your story if we decide to photograph indoors.
Where do the sessions take place?
Most Stay Awhile features are photographed in homes, apartments, or dorm rooms. The spaces we live in quietly tell our stories through the books we collect, the art on our walls, the projects on our desks, and the little details we stop noticing ourselves. Those environments become part of the feature rather than simply a backdrop.
If home doesn’t feel right for your story, that’s completely okay. Beaches, neighborhoods, cafés, bookstores, studios, parks, and other meaningful places can all be great settings.
What if my home isn’t very photogenic?
Some of my favorite features have been created in modest apartments, dorm rooms, and everyday homes. In fact, every photo on this page was taken in the subject’s own residence. Stay Awhile isn’t about beautiful houses; the most beautiful photos are taken in spaces that genuinely feel like yours.
How revealing does the photography have to be?
Every feature is different. Yours might include cozy sweaters, lingerie, implied nudity, or artistic nude photography. You may choose to step outside your comfort zone, but there’s never an expectation to reveal more than you want. We’ll shape the feature together so it feels authentic to you.
Will I have input?
More than input: you’ll help shape the feature from the very beginning. Every one is built through conversation, collaboration, and shared ideas. The goal isn’t to fit you into someone else’s vision, but to create something that couldn’t exist without you.
What happens after we’re finished?
Once your feature is complete, you’ll receive your finished photos, and your editorial will be published online before later appearing in the printed magazine. Long after the shoot is over, you’ll have a lasting record of who you were during this chapter of your life.
